Yes. You'll learn about certain functional nutrition tests and/or supplements, which are not covered in the program fee and likely also not covered by most health insurance plans. You aren't REQUIRED to purchase any tests or supplements and you can still potentially get great results without going that route - but if you take the recommended tests and supplements on an as-needed basis, you will likely find that you get better results, faster. By the end of this course, you'll have access to the entire framework - but healing takes time, and so does applying what you learn. It's not an overnight thing. Real results don't come from siting back with a bag of popcorn and watching the video tutorials like Netflix... results come from applying what you learn, consistently, over time - and pivoting or course-correcting as needed. I cannot guarantee whether or not you will apply the things that I teach in this self-study course. There's no such thing as a quick fix. You get out of things what you put into them. If you stay the course, and take informed action imperfectly (with honest effort), you can and will get results! This stuff is customizeable and evidence-based. I wouldn't offer this course if I didn't believe the step-by-step tutorials could potentially help you (like so many of my clients who have gone through this process) feel a whole lot better. But it's on YOU to take action!
Not at all! On the contrary, this program can serve as a supplemental guide for you. This program is not meant to replace 1:1 work with healthcare providers (including a dietitian) - it's meant to help complement and enhance your healing journey from all the angles, filling in any gaps that you would otherwise potentially miss. Unlike many other dietitians and nutritionists, I am a former IBS & leaky gut sufferer who has been in remission since 2014. There are cerain things we can't fully understand without going through it first-hand. As a "wounded healer", I'm proud to say that I've been able to walk this path and come out successfully on the other side!
This program is NOT the best fit for people with an eating disorder. We encourage anyone in recovery from an eating disorder (or anyone struggling with an eating disorder) to first address your eating disorder as a prerequisite to this program, as dietary restrictions will likely come up in conversations. We encourage participants or anyone considering enrolling in this program to already have a relatively healthy relationship with food, and to be at least 6 months or more in remission from an eating disorder.
This program is not meant to replace 1:1 work with a dietitian or any other healthcare provider! This is meant to supplement, enhance and complement the 1:1 work you're doing with your healthcare providers. But if you find you'd like more support and accountability, you will receive an optional invitation to upgrade to the 1:1 + hybrid group program version of the Complete Gut Repair Roadmap, next time enrollment opens (usually 1-2x per year).
Absolutely! I created and launched this course to find a more efficient way to deliver the bulk of the education I need my clients to know and understand in order to get sustainable results. (In traditional 1:1 sessions, I spend about 95% of that time listening and asking questions, with very little if any time to cram in a few minutes of the education you need.) This course will help you to learn and understand everything you need to know on your journey at a much faster pace, and it will also be easier for you to sustain your progress when you have more context (the "why" behind the "what"!).
